King Visits Dhankuta, Dharan

Dharan, August 13

King Gyanendra visited Dhankuta on Saturday morning and got acquainted with security situation and development in the Eastern Region. Former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, high-ranking government officials were also present on the occasion. He returned to Sunsari an hour later.

King also visited Dantakali Temple in Bijaypur, Dharan and performed Puja in the morning. Former chairman of the ward, Samrat Shrestha said that local residents requested for the conservation and promotion of the Temple and the King gave a positive response.

Earlier, HM king had visited Kalibax battalion of RNA at Fushre, Dharan and inspected Shantipunj and newly established Gyanendra Army Boarding School. King had arrived in Sunsari during his informal visit to the region on Friday afternoon.
