Bring Culprits to Justice: ABC Nepal
ITAHARI, Oct 3 - ABC Nepal, a non-governmental organization working on women's rights, has been pressurizing the government to administer "severe" punishment to five youths who allegedly raped two minors of Dhankuta on September 9.
According to the victims, --eighth graders of a school of Chintang VDC in Dhankuta, the youths had lured them to get on to a vehicle while they were returning to Dhankuta from Dharan on that fateful day. The culprits had drugged the girls and committed the heinous crime somewhere in Bargachhi jungle area, midway between Sunsari and Dhankuta.
So far, police have been able to get hold of three culprits, Bikram Sahi, Nabin BK and Ramkumar Budathoki of Dharan. Mukesh Shrestha and Mote BK remain absconding according to police.
"The innocent girls have been subjected to the most inhumane crime," said Sunsari chief of ABC Nepal, Dadiram Poudel. "We appeal to the authorities to bring the culprits to justice."
