DHARAN, Jan. 21: As the political dispute escalated over the construction of the Dharan Football Ground, Tribeni Club affiliated to the Brigade of Gorkhas, the institution of British Gorkha Army, has decided to withhold the financial assistance that it was giving for the construction.

Sept 16 – All Nepal Football Association's (ANFA) vice-president Kumar Thapa cited the lack of assistance from local bodies as the reason behind the delay in the completion of world's football governing body FIFA-assisted Technical Centers (Goal Project) in Dharan and Butwal.

For a very long time, it has been infatuated with the game of cricket; a craze that dates back to more than 45 years.
