Before 2000 AD, there was a kite shop in Geetamandir line ward no 2 (between naya bazar and purano bazar). Everyone used to call it 'Baajeko Changaa Dokan', 'Baajeko Lattai Dokan'. The shop owner name was Mr. Ratna Bahadur Shakya.

He had also established a 'cycle shop' and 'caremboard gaming' in that shop. The kite festival in Dharan is always at boom between 'Falgun' and 'Jestha'. In city like Kathmandu the season for kite flying is usually in 'Dashain'.

I've heard that the 'Baaje' family has shifted (within the bazar). But I don't know where they are now. Last year I was planning to visit Dharan, but the 'Koshi Flood' stood infront as a obstacle.

This year I'm going to Dharan in June/July. Let's see how is Dharan after 10 years I have left before ?

Hi, everybody i am kin interest to stay in Dharan, I stayed couple of months that was very early age while Btitish Camp was in Dharan. Now i m temporarly stay in Itahari and Kathmandu Bazar. But key thing is that i still like to stay in Dharan but i don't know which area is safe and best to live on? can some body advice me to live by your town? or best and known real estate address where i can trust them. Living standard will be cheap and best residential area, where i can be free of dust and hazardous area. Hoping Dharane's your kind help will be highly appreciated.

This year I travelled to pokhara with friends. I stayed at Pokhara Guest House, Lake Side. [Rs 400 per 24 hour with all necessary facilities].

I would probably visit Dharan on next february [provided that I will get holidays]. I think I will stay in Bhanu Chowk/Chatara Line/Zero Point.

It's good, you travel with a planning, I can't, my office holidays makes my mood.

I only suggest you to visit the location and ask local people.

its nice to live at Dharan, kin interest too but i m far away from Dharan and i heard one of my friend searched and found the 3 kotha ko Munda ghar and he sent me offer to pay 10,00000/- ( include 10 Dhur Jagga ). that is in Dharan 11 but no idea where exactly ward no 11 is ? Is someone can give me right details location, and information or any thing special which carry with that location? Dear Dharane hoping stay with you neighbour will be really great. Thank you
