2061 SLC Results
KATHMANDU, June 14 - The Office of the Controller of Examinations Sano Thimi published the results of School Leaving Certificate 2061 Monday night.
Sameer Shrestha of Kavre Secondary School in Banepa topped this year’s SLC exams, securing 91.37 percent while Shuva Acharya of Galaxy Public School in Kathmandu came first among girls scoring 90 percent.
A total of 216,303 regular students had appeared in this year’s SLC exam—considered the “iron-gate” of the school system. This year 83,747 passed the exams—a pass percent of 38.72, a decline of about eight percent from the previous year. Last year, the total pass percentage stood at 46.18 percent.
Among the students who have passed, 1,856 passed in distinction, i.e. 80 percent and higher; 31,029 in first division, below 80 percent and above 60 percent; 45,888 in second division, below 60 and above 45 percent; and 4,974 passed in the third division.
The exams were held from March 27 to April 5.
Similarly, out of 57,860 exempted students who appeared in this year’s SLC exam, only 8.86 percent has passed out.
